Nebraska State Soccer is happy to announce the creation of our Player of the Year Senior Scholarship Fund, named after a true Nebraska soccer advocate, Marty Anderson.
Marty Anderson, a former ODP Administrator for the Nebraska State Soccer Olympic Development Program and passionate soccer advocate for all players throughout Nebraska, recently passed away. In honor of her passion and commitment to the game, Nebraska State Soccer is pleased to announce her legacy will live on as the namesake of the Marty Anderson Scholarship Awards. Two awards will be given each year to selected applicants. Applicants will be current high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to the game, the community, and have shown a willingness to be involved in all facets of the game with the utmost character, traits and qualities that Marty modeled and advocated for.
We will be granting two (2) $1,000 scholarships to the chosen players.
All current high school seniors who have played on a Nebraska State Soccer affiliated team are encouraged to apply- playing soccer in college is not a requirement! We will be choosing the winners based on letters of recommendation and a personal essay written by the player.
